Our first picture ever...In Hot Springs Village |
It’s hard to believe that today marks year 3 of marriage and just over 5 years of being together. We’ve had fun times and sad times; good times and bad times in these last few years. We’ve had moments of laughter and moments of tears. But I wouldn’t change any of it; it's only made us stronger. It’s been 3 of the greatest years of my life. I remember so much of that weekend in May 2009. Lots of emotions surrounded us as well as lots of memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives together. We had all of our friends and family there for the weekend, celebrating our love and life together. That weekend was perfect and more of blessing than we could ask for.
One of my favorites :) |
The night before the wedding we had rehearsal dinner down by the pool at David’s parents' house. We had a beautiful setting with delicious catered food for the entire wedding party and family. We enjoyed listening to family members and friends tell stories about our relationship, accounts of when we first started dating, and their views on our relationship. Later that evening, many friends and family members joined us at the hotel for joint wedding party.
The next morning, all of my beautiful bridesmaids and myself ate breakfast in Hot Springs and then headed to Lake Valley church to get ready. The mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and other family members helped prepare the church and the reception hall.
I was anxious of course and at times, feeling as if I was in a panic and wouldn’t get everything done. David of course was relaxed as usual…could you expect anything else? Little to my surprise, the wedding couldn’t have gone any smoother or more perfect. Anything could have gone wrong…the cake could have fallen apart (which it did) and it would have been fine…I married my best friend that day. We’ve spent three of the best years together…through all the times we’ve had. Through everything, we know that we are loved by eachother unconditionally and know that we have the love and support of our wonderful family and friends. We’re two very lucky and blessed people and we couldn’t be happier with our little lives.

Couldn't have had it any other way.... |
Some things about our relationship:
-David had a Motorola Razor cell phone when we got
together…it’s been a while
-We’ve moved 5 times already: 3 times in Conway, to
Fayetteville, to GWS…we’ll be at #6 in about 2 weeks
-We’ve traveled to It-ly twice
-Watched the entire series of Desperate Housewives in
a year
-Enjoyed 20 inches of snow in Fayetteville
-In three years, we’ve visited Louisville, KY; Chicago, IL; New York,
City; New Orleans, LA; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; Orange Beach, AL; Florida...
I am so excited to see where the future will lead with my best friend. We’re overly blessed to have been able to make all of these memories together so far!
