Snowshoeing Sunlight

Well David and I had a fun-filled Saturday.  We went to Sunlight Mountain Resort, put on our snowshoes, and started our hike up the mountain.  It was a beautiful day for snowshoeing.  The temperature was around 60 degrees and sunny…too warm for hiking up the mountain in thermals, long sleeve shirts, and two coats.  The hike up the mountain was challenging, as it was steep of course.  Lots of huffin’ and puffin.’ Haha Once we got up as far as we wanted, we started descending the mountain.  This lead to some off-roadin’ that took us in the midst of the trees.  Fun fun!  Some of our steps caused us to sink in the snow…maybe 2 feet or so.  Snowshoeing can be a workout (if you’re going uphill or running) but go if you get the chance.  It’s a fun time! Wish you all could have been with us on our adventure!

Enjoy this little snowshoeing video of David
